Can you sell you small tractor and buy a robot instead?

Upgrading your tractor to an autonomous version with a 'upgrade kit' is possible. An upgrade tractor has clear advantage and disadvantage above an agriculture robot 'from the shelf'. 

A key advantage is that the tractor remains available as human-driven tractor. In other words, you will have a self-driving tractor and you're also able to steer it manually. With this, you could make it easier to place the machine at work in the field without the use of a trailer. 

However the key disadvantage is the (not) legal acceptance. With an upgrade kit it may not be completely clear (is it safe and allowed to drive with an upgrade kit).
